Michael Kors Return & Exchange Policy
If you’re not happy with your order, you can send back new, unused items with all the original tags, packaging, and other parts. These items must be returned with an original Michael Kors receipt, invoice, or gift receipt.
The item can’t have been worn, washed, or changed. they don’t take back swimwear, underwear, items made to order, face masks, engraved, personalized items, or Clearance items.
Your account will be credited with the same type of payment you used to buy the item(s) you are returning (s). The credit will show up on your next bill. You should get an email telling you that the return has been processed.
You can return or exchange items you bought online by mail or store. Online orders must be returned by mail or in person within 30 days of the date the order was shipped.

Option 1: By Mail
You can’t do exchanges through the mail. Please follow these steps to send your item(s) back by mail:

You can return or exchange things you bought on MichaelKors.com at any Michael Kors store in the US. Items purchased at MichaelKors.ca can be returned or exchanged at any Michael Kors store in Canada.
At the time of the return, you will need to show your printed returns slip and how you paid the first time. All online orders that need to be changed must be done within 30 days of the order’s date.
In-store exchanges depend on what’s in stock at the store you go to.
Returning a Gift Purchased Online
If you have the gift receipt or original packing slip, you can return or exchange gifts you bought online by mail or in a store.
For items returned with a gift receipt only, you will get a merchandise credit in the form of a Michael Kors E-Gift Card (if you return by mail) or a Michael Kors Gift Card (if you return in-store).

- Items bought in a Lifestyle Store can’t be returned to an Outlet Store or Collection Store.
- Things bought at an Outlet Store can’t be returned to a Lifestyle or Collection Store.
- Items bought in a Collection Store can’t be returned to an Outlet Store or Lifestyle Store.
- Price adjustments (which aren’t allowed in Outlet Stores) and refunds will be given the same way they were paid for, except cash and check refunds, which will be sent by mail.
- Only items bought in-store with AliPay or on MichaelKors.com or MichaelKors.ca with PayPal can be returned in-store for a Merchandise Credit.
- For items bought in a store and paid for with Afterpay (only in the US), Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the refunds if the items are eligible.
- If a return is made without a receipt, the refund will be put on a Michael Kors gift card, and the customer will still have to pay Afterpay every two weeks.
- Items that come with a Gift Receipt can only be returned or exchanged in-store for Merchandise Credit. Michael Kors doesn’t take returns or exchanges on items bought from other stores.
- Items that don’t have an original receipt or gift receipt can be returned for a merchandise credit or exchanged for the value of the item’s then-current selling price in the store.
- You can only return or exchange items without a receipt if they are still in stock at the store you visit.
Monogramming and Engraving
Returns and Exchange: Items that are monogrammed, engraved, or otherwise made just for you can’t be returned or exchanged. Note that you shouldn’t use cleaning products on top of the monogram.
Monogram and Engraving Shipping and Delivery: Once the personalized item(s) are ready, your whole order will be sent out. Please allow an extra 1–2 business days to deliver all orders that have been monogrammed or customized.
Items monogrammed or customized ship separately from other things in order and can only be sent via standard ground shipping.
Monogramming or engraving after receiving the item/submitting the order: Unfortunately, you can’t ask for your item to be monogrammed or engraved after you’ve placed your order or after you’ve already received it. We ask that all requests for monogramming or engraving be made when you place your order.
Final Sale Items
All personalized items, swimwear, underwear, face masks, things that have been engraved or monogrammed, and clearance items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged.
3rd Party Apps
If you bought something from a 3rd Party app, you can send the item back to the return location and get your money back in the same way you paid for it. You will get store credit instead of a refund or exchange when you return something in-store.
Michael Kors can change its return and exchange policy at any time if it wants to.
How do I return or exchange an item purchased using Afterpay?
For US purchases made with Afterpay, their standard return policy applies. You can return purchases made with Afterpay in-store or by mail as long as you follow their Returns and Exchanges policy.
For purchases made in Canada, you can only return your Afterpay online purchase by mail. You can’t return online purchases made with Afterpay in-store; you must send them back by mail.
Can I return jewelry items that have been engraved?
They never take back or exchange items that have been engraved or changed in any way. All personalized items, swimwear, underwear, jewelry that has been engraved, and things that are on sale are considered final.
What will it cost me to make a return?
Your order will come with a shipping label already paid for. You can use this label to send the item back for free. Send your return package to any US Postal Service office, drop box, or mailbox, or go to USPS.com to schedule a free pick-up.
Your account will be credited for the returned item(s) using the same payment method used to pay for them. The credit will show up on your next bill. You will get an email informing you that the return has been processed.
If you want to pay for an order with both a Gift Card and a credit card, the total value of the Gift Card will be taken off first, and then the rest will be paid for with your credit card.
If you want to return an item that was paid for in whole or part with a Gift Card, you can only do so online. The amount you spent with the Gift Card will be put on a new E-Gift Card and sent to you.
How long does it take to process my return?
After they get your return, it takes them two to three business days to process it. Your account will be credited for the returned item(s) using the same payment method used to pay for them.
